Five steps, the same in every discipline — which is why everything fits together in the end. You see every intermediate stage and approve it before we move on.
Who are you, who is your audience, what should be achieved — and what does the competition do? From this comes a specification: one page that says what will be built and what will not.

Structure first, then design. You see drafts before a single line of code exists — and approve each step.
Implementation with the tools that suit the purpose — and tested before you see it.
Check against the specification, tests on devices, browsers and systems. Then presentation and final meeting — nothing goes live or to print before you have approved it.
Going live is the beginning. Backups, updates, maintenance — as an agreement that fits the business, not as fine print.
