The controller decides, alone or together with others, on the purposes and means of processing personal data.

Hosting

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When the site is called up, the provider processes technically necessary data such as IP address, time of access, page requested, volume of data transferred and the browser used, in server log files. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in secure and trouble-free operation.

A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with IONOS. The log files are deleted automatically by the provider as soon as they are no longer needed for security and error analysis. This data is not merged with other data sources.

How this website is built

This website consists of pre-generated, unchanging files. No content management system and no database are involved. Fonts are delivered from my own server, not by an external provider — so simply viewing the site transfers no data to third parties.

Videos on this website are files on the same server and play without a video platform. No data is transferred to third parties when they play.

Contact form

If you write to me using the contact form, the details you provide — name, email address, your subject and your message — are sent to me by email and stored by me. Processing takes place on the basis of your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and in order to handle pre-contractual enquiries under Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

The message is sent via an email account with the same provider that hosts the website. No further service provider is involved.

To protect against automated submissions, the form contains a field that is invisible to humans and limits the number of submissions per sender. Your IP address is briefly processed in shortened form for this purpose.

Your details remain with me until you ask for them to be deleted or the purpose for storing them no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Visitor statistics

I use Matomo to measure reach. The software runs on the same web space as this website, not at an analytics provider. No data is transferred to third parties or to a third country.

What is recorded: the page called up, the date and time of the visit, the page visited before, the browser used including screen size, and the approximate region of origin. Your IP address is shortened before it is stored — it is therefore not possible to draw conclusions about you personally.

The measurement works without cookies and stores nothing on your device. The legal basis is my legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR in seeing which content is in demand and where the site is not working. Your interests do not override this, because the data is anonymised and cannot be linked across visits.

If you have switched on “Do Not Track” in your browser, nothing is counted in the first place. Independently of that, you can object to the measurement at any time under Art. 21 GDPR — here, with one click:

Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser address bar starting with “https://”.

Your rights

You have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about your stored personal data, its origin, its recipients and the purpose of processing, and where applicable a right to have this data corrected, restricted or deleted.

You have the right to have data that I process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party. It will be provided in a machine-readable format.

You can withdraw consent you have given at any time, without any particular form. The lawfulness of processing carried out up to the withdrawal remains unaffected.

In the event of a breach of data protection law, you have a right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
