When a website grows over the years, the server grows with it.
Looking after the website includes the technical side behind it: server configuration, adjustments as load increases, training for the team and ongoing support.
For a club with several locations and a lot of members, more hangs on the server than the homepage — camp registrations, forms, training plans, newsletter dispatch. Every year, when the registration period opens, it all arrives at once.
The training matters to me as much as the configuration. A club runs on volunteers and changing responsibilities. Anything only I can do is worthless to the club the moment I go on holiday.
