For a film production company, the website must not be the weakest image it shows.
Core Digital Pictures is a full-service film production company from Osnabrück — image films, explainer films, product films, event films, 3D renderings and animation, with experience from productions for Netflix, Disney and Amazon. The company describes its work in terms of cinematographic image design: pictures are planned, not captured.
Anyone who works that way sets a high bar for how they present themselves — and has a technical problem: film work wants to be shown in motion, and moving content makes websites slow.
My part was the implementation. A portfolio video slider that shows the work without slowing the site down; a WordPress base with a custom template so the team can add new productions themselves; contact form and cookie banner. Plus training, so the editorial side can manage without me afterwards — with a production company that constantly has new work, anything else would be a bottleneck.
The site is organised by type of film, because that is exactly how clients search: someone needs an image film, not a “film”.
