Hotel Alte Fabrik website
A hotel that takes its own name seriously — old factory, old marble, modern fittings.

Hotel Alte Fabrik stands on Bergstraße in Mettmann, at the gates of the Neandertal, between the Ruhr area and the Rhineland. 31 non-smoking rooms, its own car park, a bicycle cellar, multilingual staff around the clock, halal food on request. The bathrooms still have the original marble.
For a hotel of this size, the website decides direct bookings. Whoever comes through a portal costs commission — whoever books directly does not. So the site has to answer everything a guest would otherwise look up on the portal: room types in detail, facilities, breakfast, parking, how to get there. And it has to lead to a booking enquiry without pushing.
The structure therefore follows the logic of a hotel search: hotel facilities, room facilities, services — three blocks that a guest works through in exactly that order. The room choice is offered directly inside the booking enquiry.
Icons and copywriting were added later. It is a site with a fixed content width and a slideshow — you can tell it is not from today, and that is fine.
