Pascha Cologne website

The Pascha on Hornstraße in Neuehrenfeld is one of the largest Laufhaus establishments in Europe and was the continent’s first high-rise brothel. Today it is eleven floors with the Laufhaus, a nightclub and a hotel on the ninth floor — three businesses that work differently and address different guests, but run under one address and one brand.

That was exactly the task. The site had to give each area its own presence without falling apart, and at the same time answer questions nobody asks on the phone: what does entry cost? From when is it open? What is the dress code? How does the hotel room work? Anyone who cannot find their way around a site like this does not come — and does not ask either.

On top of that comes a requirement rarely expected of places like this: the site has to communicate the rules clearly. Admission from eighteen, well-groomed appearance, arrive sober, respectful conduct — that is not in the small print but in plain sight. Here, a website is also the house rules.

Built with Next.js in three languages — German, English and Spanish — because a considerable share of guests do not come from Germany. Plus the booking and ticketing system for the nightclub with separate advance and door prices.

One detail I am proud of: I built a tool that generates the event graphics automatically in all three languages. With a series that has new dates every week, doing it by hand per language is not sustainable.
