Pränatal Köln website
Prenatal medicine is a field where worried people are looking for answers. Above all, the site had to be calm.

A rebuild for the private practice of Priv.-Doz. Dr. Rüdiger Stressig in Cologne-Braunsfeld. He holds DEGUM level III, the highest qualification level for ultrasound diagnostics, and brings long experience in fetal echocardiography — including many years at the German Paediatric Heart Centre in Sankt Augustin. The practice works closely with the practice network of Dr. Oepen and Dr. Welter, for whom I also work.
The tone was the hardest decision here. People who open a site about prenatal diagnostics rarely do so out of curiosity. Usually there is an abnormal finding in the room, or someone is looking for a second opinion on something that is keeping them awake. A site that starts with marketing language in that situation loses people immediately.
The structure therefore follows what the practice states as its own aim: to give medical certainty and to make decisions comprehensible. Calm imagery, short routes to the specific examinations, the second opinion as a distinct, clearly named path, contact always within reach.
For the mission statement I drew a small series of my own illustrations — competence and responsibility, care and trust, precision in counselling, taking away fear, holistic support. Five motifs, reduced, all in a single line weight, so that they work as a set rather than a collection. On top of that, the video footage for the site and setting up the Google Business listing.

Typeface
Open Sans in eight sizes, nothing else. In a field where people read while worried, an unobtrusive typeface is the right decision.
