Print material for Gusto de Jae
A leaflet for a place in Palma whose guests speak three different languages.
Gusto de Jae is a tapas café in Palma de Mallorca that mixes Asian cooking with Spanish — ramen beside tapas, bento beside a gin bar. The clientele is just as mixed: locals, German and British guests.
That produced the real task. A leaflet in three languages quickly becomes three leaflets, and three leaflets mean three print runs and a stack from which the guest pulls the wrong one. So everything sits on a single sheet: the discount conditions run side by side in three columns, each column anchored by its national flag so that everyone finds their column at once, without German, English or Spanish appearing to be favoured. The rest — map, address, QR code, opening hours — is language-neutral anyway.
For the offerings, a set of icons was drawn: coffee to go, ramen, gin bar, bento box, takeaway, fusion food. Drawn in a single line weight so that they hold together as a set and can be reused individually on table stands.
Added to that were a stamp card for regulars, a wrap band and a long display strip on which icons, logo and contact run in one row — each imposed separately and delivered print-ready.

Typeface
OzHandicraft for headings such as “Menu · Carta · Menü” — a narrow brush face with an Asian touch that carries the fusion idea —, DIN Condensed Bold for headings and icon labels, Open Sans Condensed Light for the trilingual texts, because it stays legible in tight space. The name itself is a drawn lettering.
